College students, grads needed for city internships

College students or recent college graduates are invited to apply for summer internships with the city of Phoenix.

The unpaid internships are being offered with the following city departments and divisions: Mayor’s Office, City Council Office, Neighborhood Services, Phoenix Convention Center, Police, Public Information, Water Services, Fire, Government Relations, Housing, Planning and Development, Parks and Recreation, Law, and Street Transportation. City internships provide students with the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a variety of areas within local government.

Most of the internships will begin in May and end in August, with flexible schedules Monday through Friday. Requirements vary, depending on the internship.Applications will be accepted between late March and early April.
