The strong and determined young patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital inspired Denny’s to create a children’s adventure book that will be used to raise funds for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s, the leading childhood cancer treatment center in the Southwest. The book will be available for download by any Denny’s guest who makes a donation during the diner’s month-long fundraiser, which began June 28.

“Playful Parker” tells the story of Parker, a patient at Phoenix Children’s who bravely fights off the “monsters” in his body with positivity, bravery and great doctors. To get the book, guests can visit any of the 74 participating Arizona Denny’s through July 26 to make a donation with all funds going directly to Phoenix Children’s. In return, customers will receive a voucher with a link to a website where they can download the “Playful Parker” eBook. Each donation received will be marked by a paper lantern, signed by each donor before it takes a place of pride on the wall at Denny’s.

Earlier this year, Arizona Denny’s raised more than $36,000 for Ella’s Tea Party through in-store fundraisers. For a list of all Arizona Denny’s, visit www.Dennys.com.
