Catholic Charities Community Services recently received a $5,000 grant from Cox Charities to help fund its DIGNITY Immersion Theatre Experience. The Immersion will create greater awareness about trafficking and the way its victims are forced to live.

DIGNITY (Developing Individual Growth and New Independence Through Yourself) is a Catholic Charities program that assists women in leaving "the life."

For its third year, DIGNITY is hosting its Immersion Experience to create awareness that prostitution is not a victimless crime, that those who are trafficked are victims - sold, beaten, and controlled by those who sell them.

The Immersion gives audiences a greater understanding of how girls are lured in and controlled and what "the life" is really like.

The Immersion is scheduled for spring of 2012 and is free to the public and youth groups.
