Waxing, facials, makeup and lasers, local business owner Jena Irby is ready to handle it all.

Irby has been an esthetician since 2003, helping clients with skin care and makeup. As her career has developed and she began working in salons, a plastic surgeon’s office, and even doing bridal makeup on the weekends, Irby realized starting her own practice is something she really had a passion for.

“What I like to describe Skin Fit to be is a culmination of passion for skin rejuvenation, facial treatments, makeup, waxing, all mixed into one,” Irby said. “I’m really excited to be able to offer a variety and an array of facial treatments for all skin care concerns.”

Irby is starting her practice inside Natural Healthcare Specialties in Ahwatukee, at 13203 S. 48th St. It’s where her parents have been offering holistic chiropractic care for years and Irby says it just seemed like a good fit.

“I’m in a great, unique environment because I’m in a licensed physician’s office, so if something I’m doing isn’t working maybe it’s a hormonal thing,” Irby said. “Maybe you need to get tested for specific vitamins that are missing from your diet. I have that capability to work with doctors in the office. I feel that I can really help someone achieve whatever their concerns are because of the environment I’m in… I knew I wanted to be more in the medical side of skin care. We can achieve amazing things with the skin if you have the right tools, technology and education. You can really change someone’s life. If they have acne or are worried about aging it really can help them feel better about themselves. I’m all about that.”

Irby said because she’s working from a physician’s office she can also offer some different treatments and products that will be more results driven.

She describes her approach to skin care as a lifestyle change.

“My mission is to create result driven services at a price people are comfortable with,” Irby said. “I don’t want people coming in to me every six months, I’d really like it to be a lifestyle where they can come in once a month. I feel like I’ve set my prices at an affordable rate with many options depending on the results they are looking for. I kind of think of Skin Fit as a skin rejuvenation and body relaxation lifestyle. I want people not to just think of it as a luxury, it’s something that will really help them achieve healthy skin and overall body wellness.”
