The Orchard in Chandler and Mesa has teamed up with recyclers to keep electronic waste out of landfills, while benefiting a local children's charity. The locally owned and operated computer store is now offering free electronics recycling in Chandler and Mesa.

The Orchard has partnered with Westech Recyclers and AbitibiBowater in order to provide Valley residents with two locations where outdated and obsolete electronics can be recycled. In addition to providing residents with a safe and environmentally friendly way of disposing unwanted electronics, all reclaimed value from recycled goods will be donated to the Hope & A Future charity.

Hope & A Future is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids in the Arizona foster care system.

Items that can be dropped off at The Orchard include electronics, paper products, printer supplies, and batteries. Almost all electronics can be recycled through this program. In addition, consumers can drop off old laptop and cell phone batteries. Empty printer toner and ink cartridges are welcomed as well. Newspaper and magazines can also be recycled.
