Hard work, a listening ear and a lot of passion have made Ahwatukee Foothills resident Dan Creed FocalPoint Coaching’s International Business Coach of the Year five out of the last six years.

“That’s pretty gratifying,” Creed said. “I’ve built an international practice… I did it with a lot of hard work and a lot of success with my clients.”

The award is based off actual sales as well as confidential client responses. It is awarded to one business coach from all FocalPoint coaches around the world.

“For me I don’t know anything more gratifying… helping someone who might be struggling to survive or struggling to get to the next level in business and me helping them do that and seeing their success,” he said. “It’s pretty cool.”

Creed said his coaching philosophy has been successful because he’s been able to combine the famous FocalPoint curriculum, developed by Brian Tracy, with his own 30-plus years of business experience.

“I work really hard for my clients,” he said. “I tell my clients when I start working with them that the only time we’ll ever have a problem is when I work with you I become very passionate about your success. If you ever become less passionate about your success than I am, then I don’t have time for you.”

Apryl Erekson, chief executive officer of Cochise Companies, said they’ve been working with Creed for the past two years and his recent award is well deserved. For their company Creed has helped expand their horizons and has increased business by 60 percent.

“In some ways I think we’re always very reluctant to change even though we want to,” Erekson said. “He’s very good at letting you talk, making suggestions, but not pushing too hard. It’s like he puts a hand on your shoulder and gently pushes you when he thinks the timing is right. He made us see that even though at the time we were just coming out of a few really bad years, that that wasn’t the time to cry and say, ‘Nobody is doing well.’ He taught us if no one else is doing well it makes it the best time ever to jump in there and go after all the business.”

Prior to launching FocalPoint Coaching of Arizona, Creed raised capital and led numerous start-ups, and held executive posts with several Fortune 100 technology leaders. For more information on Creed, call (602) 697-5949 or visit www.businesscoachdan.com.
