The DPR Foundation, a company-wide initiative of DPR Construction to help disadvantaged kids, has awarded East Valley youth program ICAN, with a $50,000 grant. The money was awarded to support ICAN’s youth development programs, which build necessary skills in youth to avoid substance abuse, gang activity and juvenile delinquency in high risk communities.

The investment by DPR Foundation helps ensure that ICAN is able to continue providing these critical programs entirely free of charge, a priority of ICAN’s given the limited resources available to pay for like services in low income homes. The investment will help support access to the program to 250 youth daily, a 55 percent increase since 2012 when ICAN moved into the new ICAN Lon E. Hoeye Youth Center in Chandler following the successful completion of a $5.6 million capital campaign.
