A Cinnabon store makes its grand debut today, July 9, at the Arizona Mills mall.

Started in 1985 and now with more a thousand locations worldwide, Cinnabon is renowned for its gooey, sweet cinnamon rolls.

“Every time I come to the mall, now I will want to get some,” commented 13-year-old Ahwatukee resident Ben Cotharin. Equally excited to have a Cinnabon restaurant so close to the Ahwatukee area, 11-year-old Sam Cotharin exclaimed, “They’re really good and always cooked perfectly!”

Cinnabon’s classic cinnamon rolls are its signature item, which the company creates with eggs, vegetable oil, a secret-recipe cream-cheese frosting and special Makara cinnamon obtained from the mountainous regions in Indonesia.

“These are some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had, so good you want to inhale it all,” said Ben Cotharin.

The Cinnabon location at the Arizona Mills will be the closest store for Ahwatukee residents to get their fix of the sweet rolls. For quickest access to the Cinnabon store, park in lot 5 of the Arizona Mills, enter through entrance 5 and turn right.

The new Cinnabon store is the 15th location in Arizona and will bring 15-20 new jobs to the East Valley.
