The World of Beer franchise will officially open its first West Coast location at the corner of Mill Avenue and 6th Street in Tempe on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at noon.
Construction crews are putting the finishing touches on the 1912 building that will serve 58 rotating beers on tap from more than 40 different countries, not to mention the more than 500 beers available in the bottle. Plans are also in the works to add more taps in the future.
World of Beer Tempe will occupy a 100-year-old bank building on Mill Avenue. As a special perk during the NFL season, WOB will offer complimentary tailgate food for its customers while they enjoy their favorite Sunday game on one of their 23 50-inch TVs.
For private parties, the bar is also utilizing the bank’s vault and turning it into a Safe Room, complete with TVs and seating for up to 15 people.
