Just a year after opening in Ahwatukee Foothills HUB Fitness is nearing full capacity and expanding to a new location in Chandler.

HUB Fitness began in Ahwatukee Foothills when new ownership took over the old BAR Fitness at 4425 E. Agave Road. In just 14 months they’ve gone from 80 members to more than 150 and have found a new location in downtown Ocotillo in Chandler, the former Ocotillo Crossfit location.

HUB Fitness is based on four pillars: program, motivation, accountability and community.

“We have a number of trainers and coaches that really form relationships with members of the club and make sure they come in regularly,” said Christina Ratusznik of HUB Fitness. “If we don’t see someone for a while we send them an email, not trying to sell them anything but just saying, ‘Hey, we really want to help you reach that goal you set.’ We really pride ourselves on getting to know our members really well.”

The programming includes high-intensity, interval, full-body workout classes and yoga classes. The HUB Fitness in Ahwatukee also has spin classes, but that is not yet available at the Ocotillo location.

The gym also hosts free community events on occasion. On Saturday, June 7 they’ll be having a grand opening celebration at the new Ocotillo location, 2701 W. Queen Creek Road. From 8 a.m. to noon guests can come in, take a free class, enjoy some food and vendors, and take part in a raffle.
