Bank of America is partnering with the local nonprofit Back-to-School Clothing Drive to help Valley students prepare for the 2012-13 school year by collecting new or unopened school supplies at more than 100 banking centers in metropolitan Phoenix through Aug. 3.
Special collection boxes will be placed in every branch and all items collected will be distributed by the Back-to-School Clothing Drive organization to schoolchildren across the Valley.
This is the seventh year Bank of America has partnered with the Back-to-School Clothing Drive.
Items being collected are: 1- to 2-inch rubber erasers; pencil sharpeners; child-safe metal or plastic scissors; glue sticks (no glue bottles, please); notebooks: 72-page, spiral-bound; wide-ruled (not college-ruled); crayons – box of 24; 12-inch wood or plastic rulers; and children’s books for ages 5-12.
Note: loose-leaf binder paper, three-ring binders, and printer or copier paper are not being collected.
