Renowned economist, author and commentator Dr. Julianne Malveaux is this year's keynote speaker for the National Forum for Black Public Administrators 14th Annual Professional Development Seminar. Malveaux is a nationally syndicated columnist and television personality on economic, racial and gender issues in America, and has appeared on programs such as Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor" and ABC's "Politically Incorrect." She has also been president of Bennett College for Women since 2007. Her penetrating and enlightened observations on topics such as the economic impact of culture, race and gender concerns are helping shape public sentiment in 21st century America.

The Professional Development Seminar will take place from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 9 at the Glendale Civic Center, 5750 W. Glenn Drive. The theme for this year's seminar will be, "The Wave of Change and Opportunity: Recruit, Reactivate & Rejuvenate!" NFBPA's Central Arizona Chapter hosts this annual event to give public service professionals an opportunity to engage in discussions with experts, enhance problem solving skills and network.
