Cops become servers to help Special Olympics

Posted: Friday, January 22, 2010 12:00 am

As part of their continued support of Special Olympics activities like the Torch Run Program (pictured), Phoenix Police raised approximately $60,000 last year to help cover the costs of uniforms, training and event venues for the Special Olympics in Arizona. Next week, local police will be at it again, working - in uniform - as servers at a local Applebee's restaurant in hopes of generating more funds for Special Olympics activities.
