'Tennies from Heaven' remembers a son taken too soon
Posted: Saturday, December 19, 2009 12:00 amFormer teacher Pat Welch wanted to remember her son and help youngsters in need when she created Tennies From Heaven. The Ahwatukee Foothills woman has also made it easier for people to contribute. Welch's son Steven was killed on July 4, 2001 by a driver who was drag racing and had been drinking.
