An Ahwatukee Foothills family is desperately searching for their male, 3-year-old, black and white Shih Tzu named Lou, who escaped yesterday, Jan. 27, from his Lakewood area home near 32nd Street and Chandler Boulevard.

"We had workers at our house who accidentally let him out," owner Ed Ornelas said. "We are so worried about him because he has a kidney disorder and he needs his medication."

Lou is not microchipped and does not have his collar and tags on because he had just returned home from the groomers and the family had yet to put his collar back on him.

"He’s part of the family and it means a lot to us to get him back," Ornelas said, adding that they are offering a reward for the safe return of Lou.

If you have seen Lou or have any information on the lost dog, call the Ornelas family at (480) 704-0659 or (480) 414-0935.
