Athletes of all ages have become more specialized.
The three-sport athlete is a rarity these days as many have put all of their focus on perfecting their skills in one sport.
Make of it what you will, but select sports camps have become more and more popular.
Here is a look at some of the camps being offered this summer.
The Ahwatukee Board of Management is hosting a golf, swim and tennis camp for kids ages 6 through 12. Each camp has somewhere between 20 and 30 kids each week.
The camps are four days a week, starting June 3 through the week of Aug. 1.
The days are from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and start out at the Ahwatukee Community Center, 4700 E. Warner Road. The cost is $194 per camper.

“It’s a great chance to fine-tune portions of your game under the watchful eyes of instructors,” Mountain Pointe boys coach Tony Ramseyer said. “Sometimes all it takes is a fresh set of eyes (on someone’s swing) is all it takes to reach the next level.”
