Ahwatukee Music Maker Workshops has summer camps for all levels to get kids rocking, moving and mastering music.

Ages 3 to 6 can enjoy camps that will teach kids about music all around them. From June 3 to 6, Kindermusik of Ahwatukee will host Camp ‘Around the World’ from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. The four-day camp will teach children about different cultures and the music that moves them. Kids will experience cultures such as Germany, Japan, England and Africa.

There will be a focus on singing, games and instrument play-along that will teach kids that music is universal. Children will also enjoy daily crafts, story and snacks. Family and friends can join the class on the last day from 11:15 a.m. to noon for sharing time.

The cost of Camp ‘Around the World’ is $79 for the camp only, with early registration and online specials.

From July 29 to Aug. 1, children ages 3 to 6 can enjoy Kindermusik’s Camp ‘Go Van Go.’ Kids will take imaginary trips to vacation destinations on a bus named “Van Go.” The camp is meant to make the most of a preschooler’s imagination as they learn words and songs and solve problems. Kids will enjoy daily crafts, story and snack. Family can join the camp on the last day from 11:15 a.m. to noon for sharing time.

The cost is $79 for early registration and $99 per week for after camp.

Ages 5 to 12 can sign up for Morning Music Academy and build their own camp by selecting three classes. Choices for classes include drums, guitar, piano, voice, violin or arts and crafts. Morning Music Academy is a chance for kids to learn something different. Classes will be divided by age and ability levels.

Classes are June 10-13 or June 17-20, and July 15-18 or July 22-25 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Ages 8 and up are invited to experience a Summer Rock Band Camp. It’s open to experienced musicians of all instruments: vocals, electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and horns. Students come weekly for eight weeks, from June 3 to Aug. 2 (no classes between July 1-6) and practice for one hour and 15 minutes. Students will learn their favorite music with the help of an experienced teacher. Students will put on a concert the last week of camp for family and friends.

The cost is $135 with early registration and $150 after camp. Students must bring their own guitar, amp and cord. New students must audition, but existing students do not need to audition.

Between June 1 and Aug. 3 Music Makers will also offer a summer Boot Camp. Private lessons can be scheduled Monday through Thursday for two or four consecutive weeks. Lessons are available for piano, voice, violin, viola, guitar, drums and more.

Lessons are customized for each student and include daily assignments, theory, ear-training, fluency and practice techniques. Boot Camp is perfect for both beginner and master students.

Private lessons are 25 percent off regular lesson practice. Lessons must be booked in consecutive days and for a minimum of two weeks.
