Few changes with reduced city budget, so far...

Posted: Friday, April 9, 2010 11:00 pm

Phoenix police officer Tony Ruelas assisted firefighters and paramedics who responded Wednesday to a minor crash involving a pickup truck and Foothills resident Stanley Smusz. Police said that Smusz was riding his bicycle in the bike lane on the wrong side of Elliot Road at 44th Street when he and the truck collided. Rescue 38, an ambulance stationed at Warner Road and 50th Street, may be eliminated as part of city-wide budget cuts which could result in delays in transporting patients like Smusz to the hospital.
