This is such an important issue and so wonderful to be adressed at the pediatric level to insure healthy lifestyles and self esteem for these kids and their families. Knowing that the parents become involved is proven successful for the children as well as helping the parents lose weight and make better eating choices for the family as a whole. Soon, proper choices become natural and habitual. We are all creatures of habit, and learning the right way from the beginning is key to lifetime of healthy eating which will ease us away from heart disease, diabetes and other food realted illnesses. Congratualtions to Dr. and Mr. Kutler on such a wonderful program.
