Women's Wellness Week Schedule of Events All workshops held at the YMCA, 1030 E. Liberty Lane, unless otherwise indicated. • Tuesday, May 1 - Focus on Food 10 a.m. Saving Money with Coupons with Nina Brannock 11:30 a.m. The Healing Power of Food with Dr. Lori Allen 2 p.m. A Family-Centered Approach to Health Eating with Dr. Michelle May 5 p.m. Creating Quick, Healthy Meals with Your Budget with James Royer* 6 p.m. A Family Centered Approach to Healthy Eating with Dr. Michelle May* * The evening workshops will be held at Super Suppers, 4025 E. Chandler Blvd. Wednesday, May 2 - Focus on Family 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Silent Destroyer of Relationships with Dr. E. Conrad Hicks 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. How to Communicate So Your Children Will Understand with Kavita Hatten 11:30 a.m. Decoding the Language of Today's Youth with Sandy Blackwell 4 p.m. Energizing Your Family with Fitness with Rebecca Green Thursday, May 3 - Focus on Finance 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. In Your Best Interest: The Facts About Mortgages with Teri Engelbrecht 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Investing in Yourself: Finance For Women with Christine Opheim 11:30 a.m. Women as Caregivers of Generations with Kathleen Drybread 4 p.m. Working Without a Net with Sandy Blackwell Friday, May 4 - Focus on Fitness 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Fit and Female: Heart Health for Women with Agnes Oblas, nurse practitioner 11:50 a.m. Silver Sneakers Workshop with Sandra Franks 10 and 10:30 a.m. Women's Circuit Training Demonstration with Sandra Franks Saturday, May 5 Women's Wellness Week culminates in a silent auction to benefit the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign from 4 to 7 p.m. Auction items are offered from Aristar Resorts, Grace Inn Ahwatukee, My Wine Cellar, Massage Envy, Ish Salon, Arizona Diamondbacks, Curves of Ahwatukee, Elephant Bar, Mountainside Martial Arts and more.
