Otsukimi Moonviewing Festival: 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Japanese Friendship Garden, 1125 N. Third Ave. This is an elegant tradition of appreciating the full moon. Along with Japanese food and beverages, the event will feature iaido sword dancing, live musical performances, haiku poetry readings, and calligraphy and tea ceremony demonstrations. There will also be a silent auction to raise funds to support garden volunteer programs. Tickets are $23 in advance, $25 at the gate and $20 for garden members.
