Plenty of Easter Sunday options in Ahwatukee Foothills

Ahwatukee Foothills News

Ahwatukee Foothills residents have plenty of options to choose from this Sunday for Easter Brunch.

For both breakfast and something for the kids, Club West Golf Club, located at 16400 S. 14th Ave., is holding an Easter egg hunt on the practice green at 8:30 a.m. and brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12. Children also get a very special visit from the Easter Bunny.

"(The egg hunt) lasts about 30 minutes," said Michael Paradise, director of food and beverage. "We have two baskets - one for boys and one for girls, and chocolate bunnies, a dude and a diva. The little kids show up and they have a blast."

For the brunch, Club West offers a buffet with bacon and sausage, eggs Benedict, French toast, breakfast potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, filet of sole stuffed with shrimp, chicken marsala and an assortment of danishes, muffins and fresh fruit.

There will also be an omelet station, a carving station and mini cheesecakes, pastries, petit fours and assorted cakes for dessert. Cost is $26.95 for adults and $16.95 for children ages four to 10. For more information or to make a reservation, call (480) 460-1856.

Paradise said he wanted people to know the Club West Golf Club is open to the public and they are invited year-round to try the Club West signature Dr. Pepper boneless chicken wings, among their other daily specials. The restaurant also does to-go orders, small weddings and sports banquets for Desert Vista and Mountain Pointe high schools.

Healthcare reform
In a final push for a sweeping healthcare overhaul, President Barack Obama urged a simple "up-or-down" vote on the legislation. What would your vote be?
Up! Let's get this thing passed already!
The proposals look good on paper, but I'm still hesitant about its execution.
Down. It's time to go back to the drawing board.
