She’s back!

That’s right, Tanya Tucker is back on the country music airwaves with her new album, My Turn, released June 30.

One of country music’s greatest legends, Tucker selected songs from her childhood that inspired her career and transformed their delivery and meaning with her inimitable earthy, passionate and unflinching style.

“I picked the songs my daddy always wanted me to sing,” Tucker said in a press release. “This is really a tribute to him because he was with me throughout my entire career. He’s now with God above, but I know he’s watching over me still and loving these songs and this record.”

My Turn is a wonderful mix of old country, from “Oh, Lonesome Me” and “You Don’t Know Me.”

Considered one of the very few females of the “outlaw” country movement, Tucker was just 13 when her provocative “Delta Dawn” caused a nationwide stir and became a Top 10 country hit. She holds a Grammy award, two Country Music Association awards, two Academy of Country Music awards and three CMT awards.
