Big Daddy’s says goodbye

Big Daddy’s Smokehouse Sports Grill announced Wednesday it is closing its doors.

Al Ames, vice president of happiness at the restaurant, still thanks all the customers who have shown support.

“Even though we are closed down, our little business was a success. It was a success because it has paid over $8,000 to charities, schools and sports teams. It was a success because it has paid over $100,000 in wages to its employees. It was a success because we have people who loved our food,” Ames said.

The restaurant, located at 3941 E. Chandler Blvd., served an Arizona/Texas-style hickory-smoked barbecue.

“If there is anyone out there looking for some great employees, please e-mail me for a list of great people who will be needing a job,” Ames said.
