Local kids get a $73 million boost from First Things First to highlight the importance of the early years in preparing kids for school success. Local programs funded by First Things First help kids get ready for kindergarten. To present to various regions throughout Maricopa County their 2013 allocation of First Things Funds and recognize the efforts of the community, volunteers whose work on the First Things First regional councils ensures these funds meet the needs of kids from birth to 5 years old in this region.
