Cocktails & Clothes Reception: 4:30-7 p.m., Hotel Valley Ho, 6850 E. Main St., Scottsdale. Annual fundraising event for Arizona Women's Education & Employment (AWEE) to replenish AWEE's Clothing Boutique, which provides women with appropriate attire for job interviews and the workplace. Features networking, raffle prizes, appetizers and wine. Attendees are asked to donate gently-worn professional clothes that have been pressed and then placed on hangers. Walk Like MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) event: 7:40 a.m. ceremonies, 8 a.m. Walk, Phoenix Zoo, 455 N. Galvin Parkway. The "Let's Eliminate Drunk Driving" signature fundraiser walk is a fun, community-walk like driven 5K event that raises funds and saves lives. Every step taken and every pledge made supports MADD in fighting for victims of drunk driving, tougher enforcement, stronger laws and new technologies that keep drunk drivers from starting a vehicle.The event also includes face painting, arts and crafts, tours of police vehicles, music, ignition interlock demonstrations and more. Paws for a Cause charity event: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Scrubbin Pups, 15425 S. 48th St., Suite 104 (in the LA Fitness parking lot). Any dog will be washed for your donations. Proceeds will benefit less fortunate animals in the valley. Pampered pooches will receive treats and there will be drawings for valuable gift baskets.

 

Touchstone Behavioral Health's 5th Annual Parent Conference: 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Heard Museum, 2301 N. Central Ave. The program will provide valuable community resources for individuals and families along with tools to prevent youth from engaging in risky behavior such as alcohol and drug abuse.
