The (former) planet Pluto was given its name in 1930 by a young, 11-year-old woman. This Pluto, however, has more in common with Mickey Mouse's best friend, the Disney dog character Pluto. First, the obvious, they are both dogs. Both the cartoon figure and this doggie are loyal, loving, fun and vivacious. He Pluto interacts well with people and when not exploring his world, loves to give kisses. This handsome, young pooch is a loving boy. Pluto is a happy guy; sweet, animated and goofy.

His tail never stops wagging and he is naturally inquisitive. By the looks of his tail he seems to find joy in everything and anyone he comes into contact with.

Pluto is a high energy pup who needs to be with a high energy family, with another active canine friend, daily long walks, runs and game playing are all important parts of his life.

If you're ready, Pluto is ready to become your family's best friend. To learn more, visit AZ RESCUE's website at www.azrescue.org.

I hope someone loving and caring adopts this dog. FYI, Pluto is not a former planet; it is a planet. Only four percent of the International Astronomical Union voted on the controversial demotion, and most are not planetary scientists. Their decision was immediately opposed by hundreds of professional astronomers in a formal petition led by Dr. Alan Stern, Principal Investigator of NASA's New Horizons mission to Pluto.
