Glen Michael Creno, 59, passed away Feb. 20. He was born March 7, 1951 in Iowa City, Iowa, to Ernest and Lillian Creno. Glen was a reporter for The Phoenix Gazette and The Arizona Republic for 30 years. He is survived by his brother, Grant Patrick Creno; former wife and best friend, Cathryn Creno; aunt Jeanne Vaughn; cousins Jack, Tom, Vint and Jeanne; former mother-in-law Carolyn M. Retzlaff and her son, Peter Retzlaff. Services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Glen’s name may be given to the Lost Our Home Pet Foundation, 16211 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite A6A 276, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 or the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, 555 N. Central Ave., Suite 302, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
