Terry Dale Gorton, 62, of Ahwatukee, passed away from ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) on June 18 at Lund Hospice Care Center surrounded by his loving family and friends. Terry was born in Reed City, Mich., on Feb. 28, 1951.

He was the proud owner of Mountain States Specialties for 24 years. Terry was an Eagle Scout, and Arizona State University alumnus. He is survived by his wife, Helen Gorton, and two daughters, Sara Slattery, her husband Steve Slattery; Lindsey Keeler and her husband, Matthew Keeler; and his four grandchildren Jordan, Jackson, Harrison and Steven. He is also survived by his parents, Dale and Carolyn Gorton, and brothers, Barry and Gayle Gorton.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday June 22 at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave. in Phoenix.
