Danny Lee Piwowarczyk passed away unexpectedly July 28 at the age of 59.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., he graduated cum laude in 1974 from Central Michigan University with a degree in journalism. He served in the Army National Guard. Piwowarczyk moved to Phoenix in 1984. An author by nature, he recently finished a manuscript.
Piwowarczyk leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Lynn (Sutherland) Piwowarczyk; his children, Jeremy Piwowarczyk and Melany (Craig) Baum; his sister, Carolyn Flaugher; and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Birdie (Hillis) Piwowarczyk and Joseph Piwowarczyk, and his brothers, Joseph and Leo Piwowarczyk.
Services will be on Thursday, Aug. 5, at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 11002 S. 48th St. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m., followed by the service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mountain View Lutheran Church children's programs.
