Born Sept. 18, 1918 in Abbey, Saskatchewan to Ernest and Ethel Carefoot, Margaret M. Kennedy passed away April 26 in Lansing, Mich., at the age of 93. She was a former resident of Ahwatukee.

Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an accomplished Duplicate Bridge Grand Master who organized and operated the Ahwatukee Duplicate Bridge League.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew J. Kennedy; son, John; father, Ernest Carefoot; mother, Ethel Wolverton; brothers, Harold (Norma), Stanley, and Jack (Marie) Carefoot. She is survived by her four sons, Richard (Dee), Brian (Shelley), Matthew (Maria) and Paul (Beckye) Kennedy; daughter-in-law, Barbara Kennedy; five grandchildren, Shannon (Billy), Dakota, Cheyenne, James, and Holly; two great-grandchildren, Rearden and Kieran; and sister-in-law, Ruth Carefoot.
