Longtime Ahwatukee Foothills resident Kevin John Casciani, beloved husband and loving father, passed away peacefully in his home, Wednesday, March 4, after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) bravely for four years.
Kevin was born in Chicago, Ill., on Jan. 25, 1955. He and his wife of 25 years, Karen, moved to Phoenix in 1986. Kevin worked as a mailer at the Arizona Republic for 23 years. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Karen, son Kyle,16, pet Wrinkles, father Renzo, stepmother Anne, sisters Cathy and Maryann (niece and nephews Lena, Sam and Mark), Robin, and his brother Michael.
He was a devoted husband, proud father and a loyal friend. He touched many lives. A celebration of Kevin's live will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. March 15 at the Queen of Heaven Mortuary, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, and church services will be held at 9:30 a.m. March 16 at Corpus Christi Church, 3550 E. Knox Road, Phoenix.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the ALS Association in honor of Kevin.
