The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) announced that area resident Gloria Full has been awarded its Ellen Glesby Cohen Leadership Award. LFR is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and providing people with lymphoma and health care professionals with critical information on the disease.

Full is the LRF Arizona advocacy chair. In this role she organizes efforts at the local level to ensure the voice of the lymphoma community is heard by federal lawmakers. She has been responsible for coordinating meetings between members of Congress and lymphoma patients, letter to the editor campaigns and advocate education activities. In addition, Full has participated in a variety of fundraising activities to raise monies for blood cancer research. The award was presented by Guiterrez and LRF Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Thompson before an audience of 500 people during the North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma in New York City.
