Charles Robinson passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15. He was 82 years old. He was born in Hamburg, Iowa, to Charles and Ruth Robinson. He was married to Sylvia for 58 years before she passed in 2010.

Charlie is survived by his daughters, Sue Northern, also an Ahwatukee resident, and Teri Rider of Vista, Calif. He has four grandchildren: Cody and Kaela Northern and Chelsea and Joshua Rider.

An Ahwatukee resident since 1976, Charlie was an avid golfer and owned the Farmers Insurance Agency in Ahwatukee from 1978 until he retired in 1998. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and a member of the Masonic Florence Lodge 281 in Nebraska.

Memorial services will be on Tuesday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Tempe United Methodist Church, 215 E. University Drive. Light refreshments will be served after the service followed by a graveside ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Cave Creek, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road.
