Johnny Walker of Ahwatukee Foothills has enrolled at the Culver Academies in Culver, Ind., for the 118th school year, which started in August.

The Academies' school year began traditionally with the Matriculation Ceremony for all 261 new students. Each student had the opportunity to walk through the Logansport Gate, and was welcomed by the Head of Schools, John Buxton and his wife, Pam Buxton; CGA Dean Laura Weaser; CMA Commandant Col. Kelly Jordan; CGA Senior Prefect Lindsay Haller (Willmette, Ill.); and the CMA Regimental Cmdr. Jack Mitzell (Westfield, Ind).

Walker previously attended Kyrene de la Sierra Elementary and Kyrene Altadeña Middle School. While living in the Ahwatukee area he played hockey for the Arizona Hockey Union.

While at Culver, Walker will join the boys hockey team. He began his Culver career as 4th Officer in Battery A.
