Monday's swim championships for the Ahwatukee Tidal Waves swim team was called due to the dust storm. Everyone huddled in the multipurpose room at the Ahwatukee Swim and Tennis Club, hoping the storm would pass so the meet could continue. The swimmers, coaches and parents all made a brave attempt to continue once the storm lightened up but that only lasted a short while before the meet was canceled.
