Community-wide fundraiser at CK's nets $8,500

After a community-wide fundraiser, the staff at CK’s Tavern and Grill in Ahwatukee were able give a check for $8,500 to one of their own.

Ashley Abromavage, a server at CK’s, recently went through a double transplant to receive a new kidney and pancreas. The staff at CK’s decided to host a fundraiser to help pay for hospital bills and time lost from work.

After a month of fundraising, the staff at CK’s has been blown away by the generosity of the community. Abromavage has been back to the hospital several times since her transplant, but is looking forward to getting back to work and a normal routine.
