Robby Link, son of Ken and Karen Link of Ahwatukee and a graduating senior of Mountain Pointe High School, was officially presented his Eagle Scout badge on April 14 during his Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony at the Heard Scout Pueblo Stone Lodge in Phoenix.
The Eagle Scout Badge is the highest honor a Boy Scout can achieve. Requirements for earning this prestigious award include taking a leadership role in the scout's troop, earning 21 merit badges, and planning and executing a service project.
For his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, Link worked on the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Project, an on-going project helping to recreate a Sonoran Wetland Environment along the Salt River. Specifically, Link organized and directed a volunteer crew in digging up and removing invasive plant species on and around the area. Link and his volunteers logged 119 service hours in the planning and execution of the service project.
