Shirley Christman, age 90, passed away July 7 in Holland, Mich. after months in Hospice House of Holland. She is now reunited with her husband, George Christman age 92, who also passed away in April. They are survived by their five children, their spouses, and grandchildren. They are Bruce (Austin, TX) Mark (Lansing, Mich.), Giselle Christman Fox (Ahwatukee), Brian (Grand Haven, Mich.) and Kevin (Phoenix).

Shirley and George loved Ahwatukee and the retirement area for the many years they lived here. They moved to Arizona from Michigan. Shirley worked at the front desk of the Ahwatukee Recreation Center and was a welcoming face to all who walked through its doors. They were longtime members of Grace Community Church in Tempe.

In 1995 they moved to the Gulf Shores of Alabama where they lived for 14 years before moving back to their hometown area of Holland, Mich. to be closer to family.

A family memorial service will take place for both on July 11 in Michigan where they will be laid to rest.
