Enter a world of thrills, chills and terror with your friends and family at the Ahwatukee Community Swim and Tennis Center's 10th Annual Haunted House and Hayride Oct. 28-30 from 6 to 10 p.m. (closes at 9 p.m. on Sunday). A special time slot, 6 to 7:30 p.m., is designated as a "less scary" time for all the younger goblins.

Concessions will be available on event nights. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for kids 2 to 12 years old. All proceeds benefit youth programs at the center. Tickets are on sale at the Ahwatukee Community Swim and Tennis Center, 4700 E. Warner Road. Tickets are also available at the door.

Visitors will enjoy a haunted hayride through the park and encounters with various creatures of the night. More fear awaits you as you are dropped off at the front of the haunted house. For all of those brave visitors, a candy treat will be waiting for them if they successfully escape the house.

This year there will be a palm reader, representatives from a paranormal society, Halloween merchandise, pumpkins, caramel apples and other treats. If interested in participating as a vendor, call (480) 893-1942.

For more information on the event, call (480) 893-3431.
