The Lady Panthers from Kyrene Altadeña Middle School won the 2012 varsity volleyball conference championship on Oct. 25. Competing against Kyrene Centennial Middle School in the finals, Altadeña won in two games. The team, coached by Chris Burghardt, had a stellar season winning all of its matches, going 12-0.
