Troutman awarded deans list honors

Alex Troutman is a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Arizona. This spring he earned a 4.0 GPA while completing 16 credit hours of course work. He was awarded deans list honors with distinction. Troutman graduated from Brophy College Prep in 2011. He is the son of James and Amanda Troutman of Ahwatukee.

Kunce graduates from U.S. Air Force Academy

Air Force Cadet Ryan D. Kunce has graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., with a bachelor of science degree and was commissioned as a second lieutenant.

The new lieutenants go on to serve as pilots, navigators, engineers, maintenance officers, professionals in various technical fields, and some attend medical or graduate school with special scholarships, while others go directly to non-rated Air Force-wide assignments.

Kunce is the son of Michael and Karen Kunce of Ahwatukee Foothills. He graduated in 2009 from Desert Vista High School.

Galvin named to California Lutheran University deans list

Nicholas Galvin of Ahwatukee is one of 629 students who made the deans List at California Lutheran University for the spring semester. Galvin is majoring in chemistry.

Students qualify for the dean’s list by maintaining a 3.6 GPA in their academic subjects. They will be recognized for their achievement at the Honors Convocation in spring 2014.
