An enthusiastic crowd of more than 2,000 spectators were treated to an electric night filled with group dances from Desert Vista High School's junior and senior company, advanced and intermediate classes.

Under the direction of Bianca Caryl and Elizabeth Pease, Desert Vista dance faculty, the Winter Dance program took place Dec. 2 and 3 and showcased a wide range of talent from students who are currently enrolled in the school's performance dance classes.

In its 14th season, the Desert Vista Winter Dance Show featured jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, ballet and other dance styles with many of them integrating a holiday theme.

With the Winter Dance shows now over, faculty turn their attention to the upcoming dance auditions for Desert Vista's 2011/2012 school year. Incoming freshmen and current Desert Vista students interested in participating in the Dance Performance classes (Intermediate, Advanced and Company) are encouraged to try out Jan. 5 through 8.
