The Arizona Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicle Division is being recognized nationally after receiving top honors at the 2012 American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators conference, which took place recently in North Carolina.
MVD received the Customer Service Excellence Team Award and the Individual Excellence Award.
In addition, MVD Director Stacey Stanton was sworn in during the conference as the chair of the AAMVA board of directors. She will serve a one-year term.
AAMVA was founded in 1933 and primarily focuses on motor vehicle and driver’s license administration, law enforcement and highway safety. The membership includes associations, organizations, businesses and government.
Anne Yanofsky, an MVD region manager, received the individual excellence award. Yanofsky oversees eight customer service offices in the Phoenix metro area and is also the division’s liaison with the Donor Network of Arizona. Her successes in customer service include streamlining the process for people to be added to the organ and tissue donor registry.
Yanofsky also helps lead MVD efforts to provide services to those in need as one of the main coordinators for the Arizona StandDown, an annual event that provides assistance to hundreds of veterans.
