Academic honor for local residents

Local residents were named to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2010 semester at The Johns Hopkins University. To be selected for this honor, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in a program of at least 14 credits with at least 12 graded credits.

Jacob Barnaby is the son of Kenneth and Paula Barnaby and attended Desert Vista High School. He is majoring in international studies and will graduate in May 2012.

Nicole Jiam is the daughter of Michael and Bianca Jiam and attended Desert Vista High School. She is majoring in neuroscience and will graduate in May 2012.

Jessie Koljonen is the daughter of John and Elsa Johnson and attended McClintock High School in Tempe. Jessie is majoring in behavioral biology, and will graduate in May 2013.

All three students were residents of Ahwatukee Foothills.
