Ahwatukee Republican Women’s Club awards scholarship

The Ahwatukee Republican Women’s Club awarded the Marjorie Miner Scholarship in the amount of $500 to Desert Vista High School graduating senior Allyson Kolodziej at its general meeting at the Grace Inn in May. Allyson is the daughter of Michael and Carol Kolodziej of Ahwatukee.

Marjorie Miner presented the scholarship award with approximately 100 in attendance. Applicants submitted an essay incorporating their personal involvement in the areas of volunteer service, extracurricular activities, hobbies and interests, employment history and educational goals.

Ahwatukee Republican Women is an active affiliate of the Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW) and the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW).

Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Grace Inn in Ahwatukee. Social networking begins at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7 p.m.
