Ambassador Academy students build solar ovens
Submitted photo

Ambassador Academy’s Summer Science Camp students partnered with Little Caesar to learn about the use and benefits of harnessing solar energy.

The Academy “scientists” explored solar energy and how it could be harnessed and used in a practical way. With a donation from Little Caesar, the students made individual solar ovens and cooked a treat for themselves.

During the eight-week camp, which features “Exploring the Many Areas of the Science,” as its theme, the children have opportunities to practice science as they engage in observations, data collection, and arriving at conclusions at Ambassador Academy, an “A” charter school in Ahwatukee focusing on academic excellence and leadership development.
