Laura Stevens and David Chan have announced their engagement to be married. They will exchange vows Feb. 19, 2012 at the Farm Kitchen, Poulsbo, WA.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Linda and Richard Stevens of Middlebury, Conn. She is a 1999 graduate of Taft School, Watertown, Conn., earned a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Ethics from Brown University in 2004, and obtained a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture from Bastyr University in 2011. She has been board certified in the State of Washington.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Barbara and Andy Chan of Ahwatukee Foothills. He graduated from Desert Vista High School in 1999, earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Barrett's Honor College at Arizona State University in 2003. He is employed at Trader Joe's and is a cook at Carmelita Restaurant in Seattle. He will further his passion for cooking at the New England Culinary Institute in the fall. The couple will be making their home in the New England area.
