Go vertical during the 33rd Annual StairClimb event by the Arizona Chapter; participants conquer more than 35 floors of the Snell & Wilmer building at the Arizona Center. Teams are encouraged, but individuals may participate as well.

The Firefighter Challenge is a competition based on fire-fighting tasks commonly performed by firefighters in emergency situations.

Spectators are encouraged to come out to cheer on their favorite city as local firefighters from across the Valley compete head-to-head to see which department is the fastest and the fittest.

Awards will be given to the top finishers and the firefighters will be available for photos after the event.

A memorial for those killed fighting the Yarnell fire is also planned.

Attendees and kids of all ages will enjoy the morning festivities including food and beverage, plus music and massages in the courtyard of the Arizona Center in Downtown Phoenix, 400 E. Van Buren St.

The event will occur on Sept. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m.
