On Dec. 4 all 31 Barro’s Pizza locations, including in Ahwatukee Foothills, donated all proceeds from each restaurant’s sales. In a matter of a day, with the help of the Phoenix community, Barro’s Pizza raised $120,811.41 for the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. An average customer with a $25 meal provided 175 meals at the food bank. The initial goal of 500,000 total meals to be raised was surpassed and with the total sum donated by the Barro family, 845,680 meals will be provided at St. Mary’s Food Bank.
